IoT Slam Live 2017 Conference

A leading IoT conference emerges.

Details continue to expand as we learn more about the IoT Slam Live 2017 conference. The dates of the conference are June 21-22, 2017. The conference will be held at the Archie K Davis Conference Centre, located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA. IBM has been announced as the diamond sponsor of the conference. Engendering support from other large incumbent players could make this the key positional conference during the IoT revolution. Excitement is literally buzzing around this conference.

Possibly the most exciting track offered to conference participants is the frontline track called: Security and the Internet of Things. It is very good to see that security is taking a front seat at the conference. Track formulators have said of this track, “All participants in the IoT ecosystem have a responsibility for the security of the devices, data and solutions. This means that device manufacturers, application developers, consumers, operators, integrators and enterprise businesses all have their part to play to follow best practices.” Presenting best practices will help bring stability to the “wild west” of IoT.

David Hill, Executive Director of the Internet of Things Community said, “We are excited to introduce our first Live event that will showcase another world class line-up of IoT thought leaders and practitioners sharing their lessons learnt, and best practices. After what has been a remarkable year for the Internet of Things Community, we plan to announce further key industry initiatives in the coming weeks as we gear up to what many see will be a defining year for the IoT space. The chosen location is a hotbed for innovation and we look forward to bringing IoT Slam to North Carolina.”

Proper Access has pledged support of this conference. More importantly than just another conference is the community of people who are interested in IoT coming together to advance our technological endeavors.
